Stephen King’s “On Writing”

I’m a bit late to this party, but I recently finished reading King’s “On Writing” for the first time and found it¬†extremely helpful.¬† Particularly his notion that the creative process is less about invention and more about discovery, which he likens to unearthing a fossil.

“Stories are found things, like fossils in the ground… Stories are relics, part of an undiscovered, pre-existing world.”
