Season’s greetings

I think I live two lives.  There’s my normal life, and then there’s this strange side life that consists of hunching over the computer and trying to say things that matter.

The normal life generally wins.  But the strange side life hasn’t let go of me yet.

The good news: my editor has accepted my final edits/revisions, and it looks as if my second novel will see the light of day in Spring 2017.  Tentative title is The Half Wives.  I’m too close to it right now to be excited about it.  I hope the excitement returns later.  This one has been a long time in the works.  Very long.

The also good news: I already know what novel #3 is about.

And yet more good news: it’s Christmas, it’s Decatur, I love my job, I love my work.  I love the people in my life.  It is impossible to be depressed and grateful in one and the same moment.  I read that somewhere, and it’s true.
