Stacia Brown is the author of Accidents of Providence (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2012) and the forthcoming The Half Wives (2017). She earned graduate degrees in religion and historical theology from Emory University. She has lived in Miami, Asheville, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Redding, and Decatur, GA. After college she worked as a swing-shift monitor for a 250-bed homeless shelter in San Francisco. She lives in Decatur and works at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta. She dislikes writing about herself in the third person, but will do so under duress. She hopes no one she knows reads her website.
